Write 5 pages, double spaced, on the following topic,
using at least 4 citations you find on the web regarding
the topic or using library search, like lexis-nexis:
Software is not sold like a book, but is licensed, and may
have renewal fees, time-out restrictions,
and restrictions on resale. Consider another
object comprised mainly of information,
(e.g. book, seeds, music, games, magazines, education)
and analyse how software licensing ideas are (or will, or can be)
affecting the future distribution of that object.
Consider questions like:
What do humans do to get around the licensing restrictions?
What technology can be used to enforce the license?
You can use DIVX as a reference and discussion, but
don't write a paper on DIVX, please!
