changes from version in tron/tools:
(1) login.c now remembers password entered on login_form,
even if user is new. so if you click on "let's go" or
"new user" and you already entered a password on that
form, then the enter/verify password form only prompts
you for the verify password.
(2) password.c - terminated string "salt"
(3) sql.c - changed connect_or_fail to sql_connect_or_fail
and changed db_connect to sql_db_connect
