High-Capacity Recursive Neural Coding

Java Applet

This applet provides a simple interactive demonstration of some of the capabilities of new IFS RAAM. The image on the left, below, shows the Galaxy attractor for N = 5, and the list to the right of the image shows the corresponding trees. Below the attractor and the trees are the weights used to generate the attractor, and below the weights are some buttons you can use to generate other attractors. You can create custom weights by typing your own values into the weight fields, and you can also change the resolution N. After changing the weights or the resolution in this way, you should hit the Update button to see the results. The default is to show all terminals as "X", but by clicking on the "Show distinct terminals" checkbox, you can see the full set of unique terminals (and trees).

Be patient; for values of N larger than 20 or so, the computations may take a while! If you want an explanatin of the ideas behind this applet, click here
